Photo a day Galleries

Picture a day : 12-12-2008 I have obviously given up on the daily photo but will post one now and then anyway. I will try to take a picture a day for a year. No requirements for content, just the photo that I like best of the ones I took that day. The photos appear below in reverse order. That is the newest photo shows first. 6-16-2008 I am beginning to doubt that I can keep this up for a year. Running a consulting business, raising teenagers and teaching keep me pretty busy and getting a photo that I like each day can take a surprising amount of time.

Road Kill : I have not put these pictures here to offend. I hope to provide people with a different view of the world - one that they may have overlooked. As I crank away the miles on my bike rides it has caught my attention how many animals die on the road. I don't think we even see most of them when we are in our cars. At least half of these dead animals are gone within 24 hours. Most of the small ones are eaten. Some of the larger ones are picked up and hauled away. Remember, I didn't hurt or kill any of these creatures. People in cars did. It is impossible to invest the time required to document all the roadkill encountered while bike riding but I will try to get a good variety.
